Camp Policies

  • Campers must bring their own lunch, snacks, and drinks each day. The only venue that has a concession stand for lunch and snacks is Tomahawk Lake. On that day all campers will have the option of bringing their own money for lunch and snacks. Every camper will bring their own water bottle each day with their name on it. We highly recommend larger water bottles so they can stay hydrated.

***We respectfully ask everyone to please respect the campers with nut allergies and be cognizant of that while packing your child's food. Your child's safety is our main concern. For the well being of our campers and staff with food allergies we respectfully ask you pack NUT FREE items only.

  • All campers are expected to be kind and respectful to their staff, employees of the companies we affiliate with, other campers, equipment, and facilities.

Campers will follow their trip leaders instructions at all times.

Our discipline guideline will follow a basic three strike policy. However, the level of discipline will depend on the level of inappropriate behavior. Basically what this means is, if your child is acting out, bullying, or just generally misbehaving, we will use our discretion with the three strike policy. If the behavior of the camper is so severe or violent, then the three strike policy will not be enforced. The safety and well-being of all of our campers, staff, and general public will all be paramount. Any camper who jeopardizes that will be expelled immediately.

Here is the three strike policy:

Our staff will advise the camper of their inappropriate behavior and have a discussion about it. Our staff will advise them on the appropriate steps to correct the behavior, including apologies if necessary.

If the inappropriate behavior continues, the camper will not be able to participate in whatever adventure we are taking part of that day for a specified period of time. At this time, the parents will be notified of the behavior and the ramifications of that behavior. The parents will have a chance to speak to the camper and they will be able to re-join their group after that point.

If the inappropriate behavior carries on after that, the camper may be expelled from camp. If the parents cannot pick up the camper from that location, the camper will sit out of the activity until the end of the day until we return home. If the camper is expelled for behavior or disciplinary reasons, all camper fees are nonrefundable and the possibility of the camper not being able to return the following week or year is a possibility.

The following is a list of inappropriate behavior, but not limited to just this list:

    • Any kind of physical violence against people or property.

    • Bullying of any kind. This includes verbal, physical, social, and cyber bullying while at camp, or even after hours if directed at any fellow campers or staff. Bullying includes teasing, making fun of, leaving people out, spreading rumors, or anything physical of any kind.

    • Leaving your group without permission.

    • Being disrespectful or disruptive to your trip leader during activities.

    • Intentionally tampering with any equipment. This includes stealing or damaging property owned by the camp, facility, or other campers or staff.

    • Using obscenities, profanity, or vulgarities.

    • Disobeying trip leaders or the camp Director.

    • Not following the rules of camp staff.

  • Unplug and disconnect! Our camp is all about creating new adventures and exploring the outdoors. You can’t do that if you’re sitting on your phone or iPad! All of our R.O.C.K. Adventure Company staff will have phones on them in case of emergency. If your child needs to bring a cell phone to contact their parent or guardian it will be left in their bag and only used for emergency purposes. We are looking for campers to put their devices down and build relationships with their peers and learn about leadership from their trip leaders. R.O.C.K. Adventure Company does not assume any responsibility for your child’s device if they bring it to camp and somehow misplace, lose, or break it.

  • All campers that register before June 1 will receive one complimentary T-shirt. Any campers that register after June 1 will not be guaranteed a T-shirt. We will have an online shop where you can purchase extra T-shirts and other R.O.C.K. Adventure Company merchandise and equipment. Campers must wear their camp T-shirt every day. This is mandatory so we can keep track of our own campers in a safe and responsible manner.

  • All of our activities and adventures can be conducted in light rain conditions. However, if the weather is serious, we will have alternate plans in place. As of right now, we don’t have any final plans. However, some ideas that we do have are indoor rock climbing, ice-skating , as well as a few others. This part will be a work in progress and we will inform everybody as soon as we finalize plans. If we happen to come across extreme heat which prohibits outdoor participation, we can explore some of those indoor activities if feasible.

  • Our R.O.C.K Adventure Company Director has been a police officer for 21 years and a certified emergency medical technician for 14 years. All of our trip leaders will be trained in CPR, AED, and EpiPen administration.

R.O.C.K Adventure Company staff will not administer any prescription or non-prescription medication, without authorization for the campers parent/guardian. If your child takes any medications, inhaler, EpiPen, that must be given during camp hours, the permission to administer medication form must have been signed on the registration form.

  • If you need to cancel for any reason, you need to contact us immediately in writing and by phone. Family and medical emergencies only will be considered for refunds. Vacations, sports, or other reasons for missing camp are not considered emergencies.

The weeks that we have camp will not be prorated based on camper attendance. When a camper claims a spot for a week, the camper is reserving their space, our time, spot on the bus, spot at the location we are attending, and our staffing.

  • A nonrefundable 40% deposit per camper per week secures your child spot.

This deposit is necessary mostly to help cover the deposits needed for all of the adventures we will be going on. In the event we need to create a waitlist due to the amount of campers to register, we will refund your deposit in full if we cannot accommodate your child.

The first 40 campers registered will automatically be granted entrance to our camp. Any registrants over 40, will go on the waitlist until we have enough staff and campers for a second bus. If we can’t fulfill that, your money will be refunded.Adventure day trips each day!!!
